Outreach's Annual Fundraiser

Keep an eye on our website and Facebook page for more information in the weeks to come. And make sure you are signed up for our Wednesday Word email and the Saints Alive! monthly newsletter to stay updated on all the goings on at All Saints'.

The Outreach Committee at All Saints' works to share our love of God and neighbor in tangible ways. They hold two primary events each year— a yard sale in the spring, and a slient/live auction in the fall— to fund their efforts; 100% of the proceeds are used to support God’s work in our community and around the world. They focus their support in the following ways:

1. Seasonal Gift Cards

Working with a variety of groups who know of those in need— alternative high school students, migrant workers, low income seniors, domestic violence survivors— we provide gift cards to allow recipients to shop for themselves. More than 120 families are nourished in this work each December.

2. Contributions to local & regional charities, including

Safe Harbor/My Friend’s Place
Union Gospel Mission
Grace Clinic
2nd Harvest
Richland Food Bank
Golden Age Food Bank
Domestic Violence Services of the Tri-Cities
Quest Youth Center
Noah’s Ark/Campbell Farms (Shelter/mission program on the Yakama reservation)

3. Contributions to national and international charities:
Mission Aviation Fellowship
Leukemia/Lymphoma Society
Episcopal Relief & Development
Hospital #5 in Slatuvich, Ukraine - Supporting a local partnership to make desperately needed improvements to facilities.

4. Good Samaritan Fund:

This is a fund maintained to support parishioners who have a passion for a particular work, and would like help and support in making it happen. In the past this fund has been used to purchase iPods that were programmed for use at a military hospital oversees, so that active duty personnel there would be able to “Skype" with loved ones at home. They have also paid entrance fees for a team riding to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis research, and to sponsor a marathon runner fundraising for the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society. Any parishioner may come to the committee with an idea; this is one way we “equip the saints for the work of ministry.”
